Dimitris Zimeris
Biography
Dimitris Zimeris was born and raised in Volos Greece. He studied Electrical and Computer Engineering in Democritus University of Thrace, Greece and graduated in 1991. From 1992 – 1996 he worked as an assistant engineer in the consulting engineering office of Aris Tsalapatas. From 1998 – today he holds his own electrical consulting office and trades in electrical, mechanical and energy sustainability installations in buildings construction sector. He has been a head electrical engineer in the design of installations of a variety of building constructions, among others schools, hotels, in the area of Volos. He has designed installations for the new buildings of the University of Thessaly, among others the new building of the department of electrical and computer engineering. In 2015 he received his M.S. from the department of electrical and computer engineering of the University of Thessaly. From 2013-2015 he was a research engineer at the Centre for Research and Technology – Thessaly (CERTH). Recently he started his PhD research in the field of the stability of smart grids.
